5:18pm: Raleigh, NC is freaking Yuppieville.
Last night, I got tipsy off of two cordials of white chocolate Godiva liqueur with my aunt and her parents. It's good, I guess, that I have an embarrassingly low tolerance because it means I'm less likely to be an alcoholic like everyone else in my family since apparently those with alcoholism are born with a high tolerance.

But god, how I wanted more.

And today I went to UNC Chapel Hill and sang for the director of vocal studies and he was like, "Advice about colleges, advice about colleges, get a career in voice, you are good". And I was like, "Shweet". I don't like UNC though. Wisconsin is a much cooler place and the music program there is basically the same, anyway.

In other news, Kate Buckwald is going to receive a call from a mysterious person from the past this Monday or Tuesday. Perhaps they will share a bottle of Pinot Noir accompanied by a small wheel of nine-year old cheddar cheese while they catch up on each other's lives.

1:34am: The way I really write.
While alot of people I know are preparing in delirious excitement for their freshman year of college, I am preparing in delirious excitement for my senior year of high school. I received my calendar today and have been shopping and packing, and boy, oh boy! Wee! I also think that my situation pertaining to this particular section of my life is a bit different from my peers' because I am a legal ward and not the emotionally attached offspring of any competent human being. I have been receiving, lately, lectures on my total emancipation at the age of 18. "Ashley, no one is going to have legal control over you and we are not going to financially support you. You'll be on your own, although feel free to come to us for advice". God, it's scary. It really is. For more information on donating basic living needs such as shelter, food, and toilet paper, please dial 1-800-OMG-OMFG.

It an attempt to provide some structure for myself in this upcoming unstructured time, I have taken a vow of celibacy until marriage. That way I won't have sex with anyone, tell them that I love them, and then get blocked by them on AIM and have my self esteem driven under the Earth's crust by the principle of the matter. Because then they would have to divorce me first before they broke our marriage vows, and somehow that makes it seem less shallow because real emotions would hopefully have been involved initially because, well, it's marriage! (I am so optimistic). Of course, as frustratingly antagonistic as I am, I suppose that all I have to look forward to is a lifetime of one night stands and adoption. In other news, I have also started drooling at dresses for all upcoming dances and graduation. This year, I am NOT getting MYSELF ready for prom. That was an aesthetic disaster and if I hated myself, I would post pictures.

I am excited about my classes, my teachers, my friends, my dorm room, the upcoming musical (Anything Goes), and so on and so forth.

Bumper Sticker Idea; Nevermind. I am sure it's already been done.

P.S. Diet and exercise routine remaining consistently progressive and effective.

10:38pm: So I go back to Savannah on Thursday. I'm not going to miss MANY people here over the summer, but those I will miss I will miss LOTz. Say 5 or 6 people. If you read this, you're probably one of them. I have one more exam left, yay. I am going to make sandwiches again, do the art program in atlanta, and maybe take voice lessons. It's very intimidating to aspire to become an artist. Is it realistic? Am I good enough? Etc. Nervous giggle, oh well! Too late now! So say my grades. Life is actually quite good, and rather peaceful. I didn't get an actual part in Othello >>>:((( But that's alright. I'll stick to the ensemble and hopefully it will be some crazy-awesome learning experience. Well, lights out. Off I go. Shit, I really need to finish packing. :0

8:33pm: Hokay, so..
I audition for Othello tomorrow. I also just drank two bottles of 'Redeye' Jolt and took many caffeine pills. I don't feel very good, but boy, do I feel jittery!! GID CHILLZ0R. So, anyway, Godspell performance this weekend. Big solo. Kinda nervous. Hopefully the many voicelessions will come in handy. I will overcome..shit, I really have to pee.

Graduation is this weekend. Many of my good friend are leaving, including Paul who is literally going to Mercer for free + laptop - very prodigious, however I couldn't stay in state. If I do I'll go to Atlanta College of Art, but BY GOD I SHALL get in the the Art Institute of Chicago!!! ANd RISD. Expensive. Debt. Alackaday, I will survive.

Senior year is going to rawk. Many art classes, acting classes, AP English and AP Humanities. One more week until school is over and then Back to Savannah. Hopefully then more voice lessions and pre-college programs galore.

7:25pm: more.
And now for Othello auditions and Godspell.

9:53am: Well, I care.
Well, last night was prom. Pictures are inevitable. As far as my dress was concerned, I brought back the 80's (ha!_). And by golly, I did my hair and nails myself. It really was beautiful, despite the horrible theme. I wish now that I had taken more picture of the set up. Didn't dance much. I hadn't realized that I had absolutely no rhythm on the dance floor, especially when you're trying to dance with someone else. Although I must say that no one else looked like they did either. Well, now I want dancing lessons. :p The food was great, too.

One last performance of A Cheever Evening tonight! God, I'm excited. I'm getting really sick of it. And I still have a bad cold, and I have a solo in the choir concert tonight. And the SAT didn't help yesterday morning, either. Oh well, it's been awesome-o fun. God, I want some coco-puffs.

7:31pm: Holy shit, an update!
Orgazzzzzzzzm of the soul. You know what the best canned food is? Spaghettios with meatballs. MMM. Life is good. The only way it could be better is if Paul were not heading towards Savannah and not coming back until Sunday. Weep. I am in a void of Paulessness. *float*. I miss u. o____o..

Sigh. On a mo'e self-absorbed level, I finally received my SAT scores. All I can say is..."Saccharine". And I am doing hardcore prom-committee now and endorsing the horrible hunting and fishing theme by painting rabbits and squirrels on the dance floor. Heh.Heh. I have also started painting the backdrop for the play. Costumes will be finished this weekend, and I'm making some shpecial illustrations for Inkslinger, specifically Abby's sci0fi story. One day, I will scan some of my artwork and post it here. Well, once I go to college I'll get some webspace and start doing it there. Halfday tomorrow, too. Lance Armstrong, Olympics, etc. and Co. are coming to Rome, GA?? and so the school is shutting down. This means hardcore rehearsal time. Woowoowoowoowoo.

This is a shout out to my little sister, Laleah the Wise. She is a cheerleader, so hurray!!

Something is wrong with me. I've reverted back to 11 year old mode and have begun to have big, sloppy crushes on people I don't know. It's mad, I tell you!! Mad!!!

At least I don't go for people of the same gender. *sweet, delicate cough* Today, I finally met the infamous Adam K. So, that's one life goal I've managed to achieve. Now, to keep my GPA above a 2! Hallelujah!

I would remark on the situation with Fr. Merchant, but I daren't... lest a herd of half-crazed alumni be sicced upon me. Like Mufasa, from the Lion King.

I'm feeling kind of lazy and fat right now, so for lack of a better thing to say..I really like Invader Zim.

8:11pm: Juxtapose
Well, I'm going to homecoming with Paul. Allison is making him a red and black cape, and I'm going to get a matching dress. There is nothing better than a well-matched pair. And naturally, Abby is wearing a black and blood-red corset. I'm going to ask her later if I can do her make-up :)

Well, we went up to Myrtle Hill again and so naturally Caroline had to drive over a spike in the ground. Zach changed her tire, Paul helped, and the rest of us just sat on the ground and blinked lazily as the sun set on the horizon.

After that, we went back to school and many people left. Then Paul and Brian and I went in search of the radio tower to climb it. After trekking through the bushes for what seemed like miles and crawling under a barbed-wire fence, we met with signs declaring things like Danger, High Radio Frequency, Danger and so on, so we walked back and collected our flattened pennies that we had left on the railroad.

Today we saw a musical at Berry and got the material for the cape.

*boing*

What else happened...? Oh yes. I'm very angry at Danny because he's shallow n' stuff. But that's okay, because aren't we all.

12:08pm: Callooh! Callay!
This weekend was a blast!

Friday after school; Caroline, Carly, Abby, Zach, Ryan, Ryan's little sister, Danny, and I all went to Schroeder's to pick up some sandwich's. We then went to the top of Myrtle Hill, where we ate them. And glry be! We met Ghost Hunter's!! They showed us many pictures and gave me their card and we spoke with them for a long time. They were very nerdy, and old. After they left, we all danced and sang and split off into trios and couples and walked around until it got dark. Abby and Zach walked off. They really need to hook up. Mmmm..Let's see, after it got dark, the ghosthunter's came back with a bunch of little gadgets and began searching for fluctuations in temperature above graves and stuff. "I'm getting 40F, Bob.." Stuff like that. Then some policemen came to lock the gate, but Carly and I cut them off at the pass and they let us out with a warning. Then we all went back to school and loitered in the cafeteria (fun, yes?) and drank water. After this, we split up and wandered around campus until curfew, which I was half an hour late for anyway.

Saturday began qith a Battle of the Sexes thing at 3:00pm. After that, Ryan, Caroline, Jessica, Danny, Abby, Zach, and I all went to Wendy's, then K-Mart to get some chips for the social that night, and then the mall. We all went to Victoria's Secret, but they kicked us out. :.( Anyway, then we went back to school and to the social in the school store where they were playing The Ring. There weren't enough seats so D. went up to his room and got pillows, blankets, etc. which we all had an orgy on.
After The Ring (which was hysterically funny), Danny tried to take my purse. So, I fought him and we wrestled for 30 min. But I won. Oh yes. Buahaha. Then everyone left and Danny and I talked for a while about people and then I was half an hour late for curfew...again.

So, today is Sunday, and I already have 2 detentions, hahaha. It's all good. I've taught myself sign-language so that I can communicate with people during. No one else really knows it..But a few know some.
It's fun anyway.

Today in Study Hall, Mrs. Goldberg did something very strange. She's from South Africa and consequentially has a Brit. accent. I'd say she's in her mid 50's. Her hair is always piled crazily atop her head, and she was in a car wreak so she walks with crutches, and has done so for about 5 months now.
Anyway, so today she's holding this apple. Takes a bite out of it. Then she moans orgasmically over and over. By now, everyone's staring...Then she declares loudly, "This is the bist apple Ah've ever had in mye life! So swait and crauhnchy...WHO WONTS SOME????". Without waiting for anyone to answer, she dismisses us, presumably to be left alone with her delicious fruit.
Here's a picture of her.

Jesus, I'm about to rant about something!
Anyway, remember Bingo? Yeah, that little fuckoff. Well, unbelievably the crush didn't completely die after our escapade. Well, today it did. Today, I found out that he thinks I look like a dog. That's hysterically funny!! Hahaha. BUt it doesn't matter, and do you know why????
Because he looks like a vole! A hairless one! Yes!
Well, anyway, end of rant. Bingo better watch out, though, because look at my result on this quiz!!!

choleric
You are Choleric. Confident, strong willed, and
self-sufficient, you make a strong leader and
delegator. You are the type of person that gets
things done, and motivates others to do the
same. Though generally optimistic, you can be
driven by anger or revenge, and are at times
referred to as both unemotional or cruel.
Cholerics make excellent teachers, athletes,
and military professionals.

As came upon a realization this evening as I was taking a gargantuan shit.

There are two positively undeniable benefits of having dumped Brad.
1. I don't get depressed anymore. I haven't even experienced sadness since I last got off of the phone with him.
2. I no longer have to suffer through anymore urinary tract infections! Glory be.

Revelevant issues in my life currently include forcing Balbury to introduce to his roommate. Muahahaha. The detentions are also piling up. I swear to God, I don't do anything wrong!!

Oh well. Detention isn't all that bad. Sparking up staring contests with people you don't know is rather fun.

Well, in a desperate attempt to save my grades, I'm dropping PreCal and descending down to Algebra III. Oh well. Maybe if my grades rise very, very high then I can get into English Honors and take AP Eng. next year.

I have a math tutor now!! Mr. Peacock! He's from England and is 108 years old!! I don't know how long this will last. I doubt I'll need one for Algebra III.
